A vigorous vine, useful for covering difficult patches in harsh conditions. Will climb if support is provided. Has small cream flowers and produces clear fleshy berries.
Endemic to the Three Kings, North, South & Stewart Islands. Most abundant east of the main divide in South Island. Prefers coastal in back dunes, lowland and montane shrubland, open scrub and rocky ground.
Prefers full sun, dry conditions.
