A small rounded tree that have flowers which are attractive to bees and produce bunches of black fruits to birds. Fairly quick growing and hardy which makes them a fantastic colonising plant for revegetation projects.
Naturally found widespread throughout the North and South Islands up to 750m on the margins of moist broadleaf forests and stream sides.
Prefers full sun to part shade.
